Pumice Filter Media

Amorphous Aluminum Silicate (Pumice) is naturally calcined volcanic glass foam consisting of highly vesicular strands permeated with tiny air bubbles.

Pumice Filtration Media is used in the treatment of potable water treatments, seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) desalination and wastewater treatments due to its relatively low density, high particulate removal and its minimal flow resistance; it can be used in mono and multi-media filters and in both pressure and rapid gravity filter designs.

Pumice is washed, dried, and sieved to standard grain sizes that meet or exceed international standards such as EN12906 – 2012.
