Limestone
Limestone is used in its granular form or as a slurry to adjust pH value and hardness of water. It is also used to re-mineralize desalinated water together with carbon dioxide.
Limestone, or calcium carbonate is granular or powder, white or grey substance, manufactured by mining, crushing, cleaning, and screening. The final product meets or exceeds international standards such as EN1018:2021 (E) and / or ASTM C1529-19.
Limestone is used as granular mono media supported by adequate gravel in lime contact filters.
ENSYAB offer high purity Limestone (CaCO3 > 98%), adequately screened material that will:
- Guarantee minimum insoluble residues,
- Prevent lumping of Limestone in dosing systems,
- Longer Lime contact beds run time and less backwash intervals.
